1.17.07 - The House Judiciary Special Laws subcommittee adjourned debated on the bill because of an Executive Order by Governor Sanford creating a Base Closing Task Force. The subcommittee asked for recommendations over the next month for legislation that specifically supports quality of life initiatives in these cities. MASC is gathering information to share with the task force from the South Carolina cities that would be affected by base closings.
Summary: Establishes Military Preparedness and Enhancement Commission and provides for membership, powers and duties. Creates revolving loan account and other incentives.
